Toby advises in-house counsel and human resources and benefits personnel on the technical aspects of qualified retirement plans and nonqualified retirement plans. His practice includes:

• Counseling clients on day-to-day plan operations, interpreting plan language and responding to benefit claims.
• Making changes to plans, creating new plans, terminating existing plans and merging plans.
• Working with government agencies to coordinate audits and required filings by the Internal Revenue Service and Department of Labor.
• Addressing benefits issues in the context of mergers and acquisitions.

Each day brings a new set of challenges in employee benefits law. Toby proactively delivers creative and practical solutions to clients by monitoring the ever changing developments in employee benefits law.
