Lack of Transparency

I retained Noah J. Moore based on a referral from a close acquaintance who is also an attorney. Initially, my experience was very positive. Jonathan B. Moore, the Intake Supervisor, was professional, responsive, and took the time to answer all of my questions. He consistently returned my calls and ma...de me feel confident that my case would be handled properly. Unfortunately, things began to decline once my case was transferred to the paralegal team. I was initially directed to a paralegal who did not respond for weeks, only to later inform me that she was not handling my case. During a critical stage when I needed guidance regarding medical treatment and next steps, communication was inconsistent and often delayed. At times, weeks would pass before I received responses to emails or phone calls, leaving me feeling as though my concerns were not a priority. My biggest frustration was the lack of transparency regarding my settlement. After accepting the offer from opposing counsel, I was given a specific timeline for when I could expect my funds. When that date passed, I was told to wait an additional seven days after signing the release. After waiting, I was then told to wait another seven days. Through my own inquiries and resources, I later learned information indicating the settlement funds may have been received and deposited approximately three weeks earlier than I had been led to believe. Despite numerous attempts to speak directly with Mr. Moore, I never received a return call, even though his virtual assistant repeatedly assured me that he would contact me. The lack of communication became so frustrating that I ultimately filed a complaint with the State Bar. Ironically, it was only after taking that step that I finally received a callback from Mr. Moore. Clients should not have to escalate matters to that level simply to receive communication from their attorney. I do want to recognize Monica, who was professional, responsive, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. She provided the level of service I expected from the beginning. Unfortunately, the overall lack of communication, shifting timelines, and lack of transparency overshadowed my experience and left me disappointed as a client.
