Lorna advises businesses with employee benefits needs on ERISA and employment litigation and litigation avoidance.

Lorna’s practice includes:

• Defending employers in complex employment litigation, such as class actions, state law tort and contract claims.
• Counseling and, when warranted, litigating on a range of ERISA matters, including COBRA coverage, welfare and pension benefit claims, limitations on remedies, imposition of penalties, interpretation of collective bargaining agreements, and preemption.
• Representing individuals in complex ERISA litigation in state and federal courts as well as administrative agencies, including the Department of Labor.

ERISA and employment litigation and litigation avoidance is intellectually challenging, and incorporates a wide variety of subject areas, including federal, regulatory and state law. Lorna uses her skills, and tools of litigation and litigation avoidance, to help clients achieve business objectives. She has represented employers in state and federal district and appellate courts.

Lorna is a member of the American Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, and the Georgia Association of Women Lawyers.
