Laurie Ellen Dugoniths

Laurie Dugoniths Busbee is the founding member of Dugoniths Law LLC, in Atlanta, Georgia, where she regularly represents the interests of insureds in disputes with their insurance carriers  concerning a variety of different coverage issues. Dugoniths Law LLC regularly provides coverage analysis and counseling on bad faith and extra-contractual liability. She has represented clients in providing coverage advice and/or litigated cases in both the state and federal courts in over twenty-three states and has been involved in appeals in the Second, Fourth, Fifth and Eleventh Circuits. Ms. Dugoniths' practice also includes the representation of individuals in disputes with disability carriers as well as commercial businesses in contract disputes.

Ms. Dugoniths has been voted to be one of Georgia’s top 50 women lawyers and has consistently been recognized as a Super Lawyer by Atlanta Magazine from 2011 through 2019. She frequently presents on topics related to insurance coverage at the ABA’s Insurance Coverage Litigation Committee's midyear meetings.  She is also a contributing author of “The Reference Handbook on the Comprehensive General Liability Policy” and a contributing junior editor of IRMI’s CGL Reporter.

Ms. Dugoniths grew up in Stony Brook, New York and received her B.S. degree in 1991 from the University of Dayton. She received her J.D. from the University of Miami in 1999. While attending the University of Miami School of Law, she served as a Vice President of the Moot Court Board.
