Cary Reid Burke

I represent employees in disputes with their employers, from hourly workers through senior executives. My practice covers discrimination, harassment, and retaliation under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, and Section 1981; family and medical leave; unpaid wages and overtime; whistleblower claims; and matters arising under the National Labor Relations Act. I also counsel executives on separation terms, restrictive covenants, and internal investigations.

I spent twelve years on the other side, defending employers at Dentons, Polsinelli, and Seyfarth Shaw, where I was a partner. I know how a defense team values a case, what its budget looks like, and which arguments actually move a decisionmaker. That is the advantage I bring to my clients.

I edit a chapter of The Developing Labor Law, the leading treatise on the NLRA, and wrote How to Take a Case Before the NLRB. Super Lawyers has named me a Rising Star every year since 2020, and Best Lawyers has listed me in Ones to Watch since 2023.

I am admitted in Georgia and before the United States District Courts for the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts of Georgia, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
