Ian Jay Platt

Ian Platt focuses his practice on commercial law and finance, representing clients on inventory financing, asset based lending, business contracts and other commercial law matters, including equipment leasing and finance. Ian has a diverse background in areas such as financing originations, new product development and distressed situations; asset acquisitions and divestments; procurement; technology licensing; professional services agreements; and related corporate matters. He has assisted clients ranging from sole proprietorships to large public companies in the finance, technology, manufacturing and business services sectors, among others. Ian also has advised clients on their standard contracting forms, policies and procedures and compliance practices, including in connection with alternative lending, small business and consumer finance programs. Ian’s broad experience includes prior practice at an Am Law 100 law firm and in house at a major finance company.

Ian is involved with several professional, community and charitable organizations including the Georgia Bar, the Emory Law School Moot Court Society, Jewish Family & Career Services and Congregation Etz Chaim in Marietta, GA, where Ian has served on the Board of Trustees and the Executive Board.
