Absolutely not recommended this attorney was a substitute lawyer for me in court in Fulton and DeKalb county and I was promised full representation by my real lawyer and this lawyer showed up unprepared and said little to nothing in court this attorney never spoke to my victim or did any work on my c...ase and is weak and unmotivated and this lawyer has a lucrative and manipulative website that comes off like she cares about you but won't do anything to help you I do not believe these so called positive reviews as my experience was horrible with this attorney. This lawyer brought nothing to court both times and did nothing and she expected me to take blind plea when the state was asking for 10 years and I said I'm not pleading guilty when I don't know what the punishment will be. Never ever take a blind plea because the judge always goes along with the district attorneys recommendation. This attorney is also rude and uncompassionate. Do not hire this attorney I have been wanting to post a negative review on this so called lawyer for over 2 years now she is garbage stay far away from this person she will talk a good game but then withdraw when you wanna go to trial and you won't get your money back. I'm also filing a complaint on this attorney with the Georgia bar association for ethics violation and lying and breaching a contract she never gave me back my money.

I have used Ms. Thomas for many court related matters (from tickets to divorce to assistance with my criminal history being restricted) over the years and I have been more than satisfied every single time. Not only are her prices fair, but she worked with me on a payment plan since I could not afford... her services all at once. Ms. Thomas not only got me the best outcomes possible for my cases but she was compassionate and there for me every step of the way. I never had to worry about what was going on as she was on top of every detail of my case(s) and always providing me updates. I have recommended Ms. Thomas to various people- both family and friends and I will continue to do so. Ms. Thomas is my go-to attorney and has easily became the same for my family.

I regret to say that our experience with Chelsea Thomas was extremely disappointing. From the start, she demonstrated a lack of communication and commitment that severely impacted our confidence in her abilities. Three weeks after an indictment was issued, she was still unaware of it, citing the e...xcuse that the municipal court website had not been updated. This level of negligence is unacceptable for a legal professional handling such serious matters. She failed to keep in touch with the immediate family, canceled every scheduled meeting with her client, and never once initiated contact—every single conversation was started by me. It was clear that we were just another case number to her, not people dealing with a life-altering situation. Calls and text messages went unanswered for long periods, requiring multiple follow-ups just to get basic updates. The lack of empathy and professionalism reinforced every negative stereotype about public defenders being unreliable. If you or a loved one are assigned Chelsea Thomas as your public defender, I strongly advise you to contact the public defender’s office immediately and request a new attorney. Don’t wait for the same frustrations and delays we endured. Your case deserves someone who will actually advocate for you.
