James Edward Watkins

I went to Attorney Watkins to represent me in transferring conservatorship of my aging sister. He told me he would do that. Two weeks later and after several phones calls that went unanswered, I went to his office and he had not filed the paper work. I sat at his office from 11:30am until 4:15pm whil...e he went through papers trying to get them in the right order. He finally gave me a copy and told me he could not get to the court house to fill the papers that day. I told him I would take the early the next morning just tell me what to do. My sister was not in a safe place so I didn't mind assisting. I get to the court house and find out from the court clerk that he gave me the wrong papers. Upon returning to Attorney Watkins he told me he had to go to court and to come back after lunch. The court clerk gave me a copy of the forms that should have been used. Attorney Watkins after two hours found the forms in the computer and filled them out for me and again it was too late for him to get to the court in time to fill them again I said I would carry them. I finally got the papers filled. When the lawyer from the transferring state called me six weeks later and ask why he hasn't heard from my attorney. I gave him attorney Watkins name and phone number. Mr Watkins told him he only filled the papers out and he was not representing me but Mr Watkins never told me he was not representing me. I will never recommend him to anyone.
