Tyler Moffitt is a Georgia attorney with more than ten years of experience standing beside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives. Raised in LaGrange, he grew up surrounded by the values that still guide his work today: treating people with dignity, working harder than expected, and doing the right thing even when it is not easy. After graduating from LaGrange High School, he played three years of college baseball, an experience that shaped his discipline, competitiveness, and commitment to preparation.
Long before opening Moffitt Law, Tyler began learning the inner workings of the legal system from multiple angles. He volunteered at the Coweta Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office in LaGrange, clerked at Attorneys at LawSmith in Tucker, and gained real estate and property law experience at Southern Abstract Services. These roles helped him understand how cases move, how prosecutors think, how evidence is built, and what separates strong advocacy from average representation.
After law school, Tyler returned home to serve the communities he knows best. Over the past decade, he has built a respected practice focused on criminal defense, DUI defense, and personal injury law. He has handled cases throughout the state of Georgia, from municipal courts to complex felony courts, and he has earned multiple not guilty verdicts along with strong results for clients who needed protection, guidance, and a steady hand.
Tyler’s reputation has grown because of the way he practices law. He prepares thoroughly, explains the process in clear terms, and treats every client as a person with a future worth fighting for. He believes that legal representation should not be cold or transactional. It should be personal, honest, and relentless. That approach has led to referrals from former clients, judges, prosecutors, and attorneys who trust him to handle the situations that matter most.
His work has also been recognized statewide. Tyler has been named a Georgia Rising Star every year from 2023 through 2026. This honor is awarded to a small percentage of attorneys who demonstrate exceptional skill, professionalism, and consistent results.
Tyler remains active in legal organizations including the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, the Real Property Law Section, and the Georgia Personal Injury Law Section. He continuously studies updates in Georgia law and works to stay ahead of changes that could affect his clients. Whether he is preparing a DUI case for trial, negotiating a serious injury settlement, or defending a client facing jail time, he brings the same level of focus and commitment.
What truly drives Tyler is the people he serves. He understands how overwhelming the legal system can feel and how important it is to have someone who listens, cares, and fights. He takes the time to learn each client’s story and to make sure they understand their options. He believes trust is built through communication, preparation, and genuine concern for the outcome.
Outside of the office, Tyler is a husband, father, and lifelong sports fan. He enjoys traveling with his family, spending time outdoors, and watching baseball, a sport that continues to influence how he approaches both life and law. His faith, his family, and his connection to his hometown all shape the way he practices and the way he serves his community.
For Tyler, the practice of law is not just a career. It is a calling to protect people when they feel unheard, to fight for fairness, and to help clients move forward with confidence. Whether someone is facing a criminal charge, a DUI, or the aftermath of a life-changing injury in LaGrange, Carrollton, Columbus, or anywhere in Georgia, Tyler is committed to standing beside them and giving them the best possible chance at a better future.
