Kevin Schumaker

Currently my husband has been in jail for 8months before ANY action was taken. My husband has recently been indicted and his lawyer has only been to court with/for him 2/8 times. He has had no request for bond reduction and only discussion he had with husband was about taking a 30 year plea or paying... a half a million in bond. This discussion was funny because his bond had already been set and was lower than than that. This previewed us to the complete lack of knowledge on case and nintentional/intentional desire to just get case over with. Awkward that last review was so fantastic. Maybe that was in his earlier years. Maybe he is burned out.

1st Degree Forgery is a felony in my state and carries a possible 10 year prison sentence. I was not in a financial position to even consider hiring a private attorney and felt nervous having a 'Public Defender' representing me. But now I am so thankful that it worked out that way because my Publ...ic Defender was Kevin Schumaker and he is amazing at what he does! Mr. Schumaker has given me the opportunity to continue on with my life without a the 'big black cloud' of a felony looming over my head. He even took an extra step so that the record of my 'arrest' and the details regarding the case will soon be expunged and no longer accessible during a background check.
