Not a good lawyer

I would not recommend this lawyer to someone who is very concerned about their case. He is not very good at informing his clients about the case and is usually not good about answering phone call. Although, he does leave messages when he calls back , he is vague and does not leave details. After my c...onsultation with him, he told us exactly what he was going to do and a time span but failed to comply with his word. During my case he took a 10 day vacation and after promising to work on our case during his vacation , he did not return any phone calls and we knew nothing about a hearing that was set on Monday (during his vacation) . He seems very optimistic in person but once gone, it is very hard to trust him .

Not enough information to determine who this is. I do not take retainers then go on vacations when the client’s case is scheduled on the same day. For this reason, I have no recollection of this ever happening and I am unable to ascertain who this is. Might I inquire what happened with the case? Where and What result? Unfortunately, without knowing more I cannot either acknowledge fault and improve on my practice or demonstrate that the review is not based on objective opinion. I respectfully invite the reviewer to provide more information.

Overated

While this lawyer was recommended with meeting minimal requirements as being a highly qualified lawyer I found that to be the complete opposite! Nothing is of complete urgency nor is there a systematic approach when dealing with a simple request. I am very disappointed with the service I have receive...d. As always please do your research as it may save you time, money, and the okey doke!

My life attorney

I met this attorney back in 2000 while sitting in the courtroom waiting for my case to be call. We had NEVER talked or seen each other before then. He was actually there to represent someone else. He asked me what was I there for aftering talking he said I'll take your case, both cases, only charg...ed me 1/8 what everyone else wanted to charge me for 1 case. He told me he would get them both dismissed. Yes, he was hard to reach at times, I wasn't his only client, Yes he was late for arraignment, but he got there and got the 1st case dismissed. The second case he informed me late in the evening we were going to trial the following morning. I am proud to say that case was also thrown out. He did exactly what he sai. It's called patience. Now he's handling my divorce and I'm not worried at all. No one is perfect. So he made a mistake. Ye without sin cast the first stone..

I should have done my research

I hired this attorney in June 2009, I was very disappointed in the service. I could not get in touch with the attorney to get any updates on my case until September 2009 and it was via fax. He did not do anything that he said he would do during the consultation except make excuses for why he had no...t gotten to it. In fact, all he did was file the motion, something I could have did myself. I wish I would have searched his name and business first and I would have known his character and business practice. Please visit this website, which is public record. http://www.gabar.org/manage/Directory/DisciplineHistory.php?id=777740 and click on the review panel reprimand or visit http://www.gabar.org and read it. It appears that he has a history of not producing.

Awsome Attorney - Would NEVER use another!

I used this attorney to handle a criminal matter on behalf of my son. He was charged with trafficking and faced life in prison if convicted. Mr. Wright not only won the case for my son, but for his co-defendants as well! (their lawyers were HORRIBLE). As we left the court...everyone who witnessed... the trial asked for his name and number. You will not find a better trial lawyer in the Atlanta area...that is for certain.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2006.

Review Panel Reprimand issued in GA, 2006

updated on 05/19/2010

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case, the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.
