I hired David when he was still practicing at his own firm in 2023. Early on he seemed to care about the issues surrounding the 3 children in my divorce and I felt pretty good about him representing me. He moved to Meriweather and Tharp in late 2023 and I wish i had moved on from him. The divorce dra...gged out until august of 2024, and i was billed non stop by his firm. They even sent me a bill after i paid them the total and the divorce was done. We’re talking in excess of 35000$ of billing, to just send communication emails from her lawyer. The worst part was the lack of preparation by this attorney. He represented me in 2 separate 8 hour mediations, and had nothing prepared each time. He didn’t address money that was moved from a joint savings account to her mothers account and my ex wife’s lawyer absolutely out classed him in every way. You will not be happy if you hire him or anyone at Meriweather and Tharp. They will bill you as much as possible and then do a poor job on your case.
