Great Lawyer, Great Outcome

I highly recommend Julie and her team. Julie was very engaging, she would personally return phone calls and she always took the necessary time to ensure I fully understood each step of the process. Her team was just as great, they were very communicative and always kept me informed of all court dates... and the legal fees as they developed. I am very thankful that I hired such an expert of a lawyer and with such a great team.

Hire Them!

Working with this law office was an incredibly smooth experience from start to finish. The staff was professional, responsive, and easy to work with every step of the way. Their knowledge of the legal system really stood out and gave me confidence throughout the process. Highly recommend!

So Happy I Hired Julie!

I hired Julie Moore to handle my personal case, and she got it resolved quickly, and in the long-term, it turned out to be the best resolution for me. Her staff was always responsive, sent documents quickly, and explained everything before making decisions. I am so happy I went with Julie Moore!

Horrible Experience

I retained The Law Office of Julie C. Moore, LLC for an automobile accident I was involved in. During the year-process, there were several issues and concerns that I have. At no point did I ever meet with Ms. Moore. All of my phone communication and in-person communication was with the paralegal, fr...om the initial consultation through me receiving my payout. At the consultation, I was told that the firm’s fee was 30% and at the time that I received my payout the fee miraculously changed to 33%. The firm initiated a claim with my insurance company to receive additional funds but did not inform me of their intentions to do so. I was notified by my insurance company and then I received a call from the paralegal informing me that they had already submitted a claim. The communication with the paralegal was horrible and I had to constantly call her to check on the status of my claim, with very little follow-up. The paralegal initially told me that she would assist with the diminished value on my vehicle but never followed up and I had to take care of that myself. I would never recommend Ms. Moore or her firm. I feel that they were deceptive and their level of service was below average. I also feel that they were only in it for the check they received and not my best interests. Additionally, I signed over a check that the firm received from the insurance received that was in my name. The paralegal presented the check to me backwards and I was instructed to sign the check without seeing it. I had to turn the check around to actually see what I was signing and for what amount. I was then instructed to sign a document indicating that they would withhold monies for any bills that I was still liable for, when I had already instructed them to pay all of my bills first prior to giving me my payout.

We regret that you had issues and concerns that you felt were not addressed. All of our clients are given an opportunity to discuss all questions and concerns and we put great effort into providing answers and addressing all concerns. Our attorneys don’t always have face to face visits with the client but we always schedule one if requested. Also, our fees are always discussed before we are retained in an accident case and contracts are always signed by the client before we begin any work on a case. As for claims with at fault insurance, once that policy is maxed out and policy limits are recovered, our firm looks to Uninsured Motorist Coverage under our client's insurance to see if we are able to recover above and beyond the policy limits of the at fault party. Uninsured Motorist Coverage if available is insurance to cover someone in the event the accident is not their fault and is not considered a "claim" that raises insurance rates or requires a deductible to be paid. With that said, our firm always discusses with our clients the availability of Underinsured Insurance coverage once the at fault policy limits have been recovered. Finally, all settlements are discussed in great detail with our clients at the conclusion of each case and settlement statements along with a copy of all checks received and all medical bills paid on our client’s behalf. There is always a possibility that clients have failed to communicate all medical bills with our staff and therefore, we explain this to them at the end and have them sign an acknowledgment of their responsibility to pay the same in the event that has occurred. If you wish to discuss your specific situation, I am happy to do so. We wish you all the best in the future and hope this has cleared up any confusion about our process.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
