Sonya R. Chachere-Compton

This was some years ago about 2005, but she has helped me and my family and our story is below: For some reason in Douglas County Georgia, they have a weird system that if you were given temporary custody of children say for instance to let them go to a particular school over another... you can... contest to keep the children... I had an Aunt who tried to do this Ms.Compton when I was younger represented my mother extremely well... Even against DFCS, whose attorney tried to keep us with my aunt whose husband wasn't just abusive towards me but also towards her! I was even sent into foster care because of it, but she helped me and my family get our life back and that life being lived together. Thank you Ms.Compton!

Ms. Compton failed to do what we hired her to do. She could not be reached and acted as if we inconvenienced her when calling. We paid her BEFORE signing a contract and the was our mistake. She played us off of our ignorance. Had we been more informed we would have conducted more thorough research be...fore selecting an attorney. I think we are reasonable people, but we got the impression that she did not attempt to work our file and therefore we secured another attorney (I think this is what she wanted). After we secured another Attorney, she sent a certified letter effectively firing us as clients (no refund though). Take my advise, do not hire this Attorney, she WILL accept your money and do nothing further with your case. She WILL be annoyed when you contact her. She WILL NOT fight for you. She WILL NOT communicate with you. Trust me....DO NOT hire Ms. Compton.

Ms. Compton was the second lawyer I've had who failed to resolve my time-sensitive case. I don't believe she knew how to go about my case. It was so hard to get in contact with her. She also had a bad attitude and threatened to dismiss herself from my case when I tried to get answers from the court. ...I wouldn't recommend this lawyer to anyone.

Lawyer Sonya r. Chachere-Compton is the worst attorney that works in Douglasville ,Georgia. She has a very nasty attitude, very argumentative, and has a lack of communication skills. I contacted her numerous times only to receive her voice mail on all occasions. Once she called me back, she never d...iscussed the matters of my case only her personal matters as if it would of helped my case. She also hung up in my face on several occasions once she was caught in numerous lies. She gave me no information on my case when she had a head start of six months. She filed paperwork and requests that were unbeknownst to me. It appears that she is in financial distress because she files motions that will ultimately will cause you to pay more fees. She doesn't have an office to visit only a p.o. box which isn't a good sign. The address she has listed on the internet is an abandoned building. Ms Compton is a horrible representation of a lawyer.

Sonya is perhaps the most unprofessional attorney I have ever witnessed and her main concern is money. She was hired to be a guardian for my divorce case and use all of her personal downfalls and previous divorces to compare my situation to hers and refused to get any facts regarding the case. Her re...commendation was to allow the ex husband to have full custody which a background of violence, several suicide attempts and a sexual relationship with his mother to have custody of a child he refused to support for 18 months and never wanted see or participate in her life. You can judge for yourself the type of moral ethics she has and the type of attorney she truly is.
