also known as Christie Ayotte
I specialize in family law and estate planning but I also help many entrepreneurs with their business needs, and offer probate assistance.
I received my law degree from Emory University, and my undergraduate degree from Smith College. They are good schools, but I don't think I am smarter than my clients just because I am lawyer or because I have fancy degrees.
I am an entrepreneur and a businessperson at heart. Before forming my own firm, I worked with some good attorneys at a small Alanta firm both as an attorney, and before law school, as a paralegal.
I am a trained Guardian Ad Litem who accepts cases in Chatham County, which means I help judges in difficult custody cases decide what to do by fact-finding, and making recommendations.
I have mediated more than 225 landlord-tenant cases in Fulton County and DeKalb County Magistrate Courts (aka, "dispossessory court"), helping landlords and tenants come up with fair and reasonable agreements that benefit both parties. I have only impassed about 11% of the cases assigned to me.
Before law school, I owned another business called Signature Projects LLC, which provided marketing advice and operational services to political candiates and elected officials, other businesses, and non-profits. Before that, I was the business manager of Georgia Equality, a statewide political interest group that advocates for equality for the LGBT community. In my spare time, I did freelance writing, publishing several op-ed pieces in Southern Voice, the Washington Blade, and the Advocate.

Recent experience April 2016
I was referred to Christie from my in-house counsel as I wanted to review Estate planning and update my Will. She was so accomodating and quick to respond. She also provided additional security measures for my estate, and while she recommended them, she was not pushy and accepted my decisions. If ...

Great Advocate, Wonderful Communication, Very Satisfied
As an attorney, I knew that I wanted someone very smart, skilled, and respected to represent me in a contract dispute. Christie went above and beyond to keep me informed of what was happening in my case, and did a wonderful job drafting and negotiating a settlement. The other party was at times ver...

Taking My Business To The Next Level
Christie has been an important resource for me as I have started to operate my pet sitting business as a "real" business. I felt much more secure having Christie form my LLC rather than fumbling around trying to do it on my own. Christie is also an excellent writer. She took my mismatched business...

Christie Ayotte created a will, advanced healthcare directive, and power of attorney for me. She did so with knowledgeable insight, and efficiency. Christie is very approachable and relatable, which made the whole process very easy.

"Christie Ayotte is a trusted peer of mine in the Atlanta & Decatur legal communities. I have worked with her in evaluating a Will contest case which she handled very adeptly for a client. I would not hesitate to refer clients to her when they have family law matters as well!"
