5-star Attorney!

Mr. Allison is currently representing me in a criminal matter in the Douglas judicial circuit. He has been very communicative, diligent, strategic, and well-prepared. I was able to make contact with Mr. Allison after hours and on a weekend, which deserves five stars in and of itself. Mr. Allison i...s well respected among his peers in the judicial circuit where he practices law, and I would encourage anyone that needs legal assistance to consider Mr. Allison. You will be well pleased.

NO RETURN CALLS OR REFUND OF MONEY

my wife and me paid him 2500.00 to go for custody of her sisters kids that were being adopted through the state he said he charges 200.00 a hour and would have to ask the court to represent us and said that custody could be expensive and if any money was left over he would refund the money flew dow...n from Illinois and met with him before court. since the children were already place in the home. (we went to court 1 time) and now he will not return my calls or refund the money

Very knowledgeable

Mr. Allison is a very caring attorney. He tried my case and won. If I ever require the services of an attorney again, I will definitely call Jimmy again.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
