Do your research & be careful who you hire to represent you in court.

Mrs. Everett failed me in every way possible. She failed to prepare me for court, gave me no guidance, and left me blindsided during one of the most important moments of my life. Her lack of preparation and care played a major role in me losing my custody case. I went into court confused, unsupporte...d, and misrepresented—feeling like I had to defend myself while she sat back silently playing on her phone. When I needed someone to fight for my rights as a father, she didn’t show up the way I needed her to. I trusted her with something that meant everything to me, and that trust was broken. I paid her everything I had just for her to fail me. I hope this helps someone else make a more informed decision before putting their future & their kid’s future in her hands.” I gave her a great review the first time we went to court but after that she did not do what she was hired to do & I lost custody of my kids because of her.

Family lawyer

Hands down, Mrs. Everett is the best family lawyer ever. I was so scared & nervous from the start because I didn’t know what was going to happen in my case. As a black man in America fighting a child custody case, I felt like the odds were stacked against me & that I would never win anything in my ca...se. Mrs. Everett talked to me, gave me advice & made me feel extremely comfortable throughout the process leading up to our court date. She fought extremely hard for me & got me more than what I envisioned getting. I will forever be thankful & grateful for her. She still continues till this day consulting with me giving me advice or answering any questions that I may have. If you want a lawyer that’s going to listen to you & fight for you. I highly recommend Mrs Everett as your family lawyer. Thank you for everything

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
