The estimation bill was super expensive and vague as to a real estimation. It appeared the 2000.00 down would not apply to hours worked then an additional charge for each hour with no estimate as to a final bill amount. Mr. Abney seemed nice and helpful, but I found another lawyer who was more reali...stically priced to do the same thing. Mr. Abney's bill could have been anything and I read another review that complained about this very thing.

Hiring Eric Abney was one of the worst decisions I’ve ever made in a legal matter. He took my retainer, failed to file a single motion, and abandoned my case at a crucial time—without ensuring a proper transition, leaving me to defend myself. When I requested an invoice, he delayed providing it, and ...when I finally got it, it was full of questionable charges that appeared inflated and unjustified. After withdrawing, he continued to pressure me into accepting a one-sided settlement that benefited the opposing party rather than defending my rights. His handling of my case showed a complete lack of diligence, competence, and ethics. If you are considering hiring him, do yourself a favor and find an attorney who actually works for their clients instead of against them.
