Donald Lloyd Swift III

Don Swift is the Managing Partner of Andersen Tate & Carr.  He also helps lead the personal injury practice in the firm’s Litigation Group.  Don is an experienced litigator whose passion is helping clients who have been injured due to the negligence or wrongful conduct of others.  He believes strongly in holding wrongdoers accountable for the harmful results of their misconduct.

Don began his practice after law school at a large Atlanta law firm, where he represented defendants such as manufacturers of truck tractors, railroad companies, hotel chains, medical device manufacturers, and insurance companies.  During his time as a defense lawyer, Don gained valuable insight into how these companies attempt to defend cases by insulating themselves from liability or minimizing the consequences of their harmful conduct.  As an attorney who now represents the victims of this misconduct, Don uses his knowledge of how the other side works to the advantage of his clients seeking compensation for their injuries.

Don has a wide range of experience in personal injury litigation, including cases in the following areas:

Don has tried cases in both federal and state courts and has argued successfully in the Supreme Court of Georgia.  He has also served as a Special Master appointed by the Georgia Supreme Court in attorney disciplinary proceedings.  While in law school, Don was a member of the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review (1995-96) as well as Team Member (1995-1996) and Executive Chairman (1996-97) of the Moot Court Board. He was also Order of the Coif as well as a member of the Order of the Barristers.

Don is active in many civic and charitable organizations. He and his family reside in Sugar Hill, where they are active members of Saint Columba’s Episcopal Church.
