About David
Biography
I am a native Atlantan and I'm a Georgia guy, lived here most of my life, and attended the University of Georgia undergraduate and law school.
I started as a closing attorney out of law school. Because of the ups and downs of the real estate market, I branched into litigation and other areas. I have done criminal defense cases, serious injury cases, medical malpractice, medical device, divorce, bankruptcy, business litigation, and small business and corporate. I have even set up a few pension and profit-sharing plans back in the day. I became a certified mediator about 15 years ago.
These days I concentrate on wills, probate and estates, trusts, and divorce-related cases. We still help businesses, set up small corporations, write contracts, purchase and sale, and do some injury cases and other types of litigation. There's a lot of information about cases we have handled over the years on our website.
I have a wife and four children of whom I'm very proud. My oldest is a biomedical engineer and patent agent in Atlanta, and in law school and the other is a realtor in Dallas Texas. I have a stepdaughter who is a business cost analyst and a stepson in the construction business. And four grandchildren! When not involved with work or family, I enjoy golf, fishing, and snow skiing.

Replied last September 04, 2018This client had a tough divorce case, and his wife insisted on a jury trial even though they had limited assets. The client was warned about the cost of a trial and readily agreed to go through the jury trial. For some reason, he refused to have us call any witnesses for him. This happened in April 2017 and we are surprised to see this review, it is the 1st complaint we have heard from him. Prior to trial, the judge stated what he would award to each party as the property division, in lieu of the jury trial, in an effort at settlement. The jury brought back almost exactly what the judge predicted.
