An Attorney You Can Count On

Jeff has been my attorney of choice for over 28 years. During this period Jeff has handled incorporations, estate planning, contracts and agreements and general legal advise in various areas. I've called Jeff many times seeking quick answers to minor legal questions and he has always made himself ava...ilable to me. Recently Jeff has been working with my current employer on estate planning issues as well as employment contracts. My employer has been very satisfied with his work. Jeff is an attorney that I have often recommended with great success. I wouldn't use anyone else.

Physician

Jeff has been the most knowledgeable attorney with whom I've ever worked. He explains clearly all facets of the problem at hand, and does extensive research if the facts are not always evident. Jeff has informed me and my family in most understandable terms, unusual in our previous experiences with o...ur previous relationships with attorneys, mostly with the larger "community" downtown law firms. Jeff's billing is most fair, and I have always felt Jeff has done a lot more work for me than he bills me for. I give Jeff nothing but the highest accolades as a true professional and have recommended him to many of my associates as well.

Great Estate Planning Attorney in GA

Jeff is our trusted attorney who we turn to for all of our legal and estate planning advice. There is a reason he is entrusted by many well known names in Atlanta and is commonly featured in publications like the WSJ- He is not only very knowledgeable in his areas of expertise, but he also has ...a great deal of common sense- able to simplify the complex. On top of that he is a personable guy- a true friend. Take a look at his website profile to view some of his credentials and experience: http://www.scrogginlaw.com/Attorneys/John-J-Scroggin.shtml

John J. Scroggin abilities

John J. Scroggin has been my business and family lawyer for over 25 years and during that period of time, he helped with many legal business decisions to be made and was most cooperative. His explanations, his expertise, his understanding of the complexities of legal matters was overwhelming. I wou...ld say that I never got 'so called' bad advice from Jeff. I conferred with him on all business transactions that I felt needed legal attention. He never failed me, my family or my company. He is currently updating my will and other matters that we are now doing at his insistence. He tells it like it is, simply and to the point and for that I would recommend John J. Scroggin to anyone in need of legal assistance

A Gifted Technician and Strategic-Thinking attorney with a Heart

I have known Jeff Scroggin for over 20 years. And although I have worked with a number of top estate planning and tax attorneys, Jeff not only possesses one of the highest continuous thirsts for knowledge and passion for staying current I've ever known, but he is always on the 'leading edge' of new... planning concepts and ideas for his clients. But the other factor which comes across with Jeff is the size of his 'heart' and the fact that he truly cares about his clients and their financial as well as their personal well-being. A number of years ago, Jeff 'nursed' me through a very painful and bitter splitup with a partner and negotiated an acceptable division of assets.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
