Jon David Haskin

Mr. Haskin was selected as Rising Star by Super Lawyers in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016, is a member of the National Trial Lawyers Association top 100 and is an AV Preeminent Lawyer through Martindale-Hubbell's peer review rating system. Haskin is an Attorney practicing throughout Georgia and maintains a practice in Marietta working closely with individual clients and as Counsel to business clients. He previously worked as Of Counsel to the Hornsby Law Group in Atlanta handling employment and business litigation matters. Haskin worked with the law firm Spruell Taylor and Associates in Marietta, Georgia and the Metro Conflict Defender in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Haskin advises on and litigate various contract and employment matters. He also maintains an active criminal defense and civil litigation practice. 

Mr. Haskin is licensed to Practice Law in the State Courts of Georgia incuding the Appeals Court and Georgia Supreme Court as well as in in the Federal District Court for the Northern District of Georgia . Memberships include or have included the Georgia Bar Association, the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, National Employment Lawyers Association, the Cobb Bar Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Mr. Haskin previously served as the Legal Aide to the Speaker of the House of the State of Georgia, researching proposed legislation and preparing opinions as to effects on existing Georgia law. Subsequently, Mr. Haskin represented various organizations, including Siemens Building Technologies, at the Georgia General Assembly.

Mr. Haskin was an instructor of Political Science and Public Administration at the University of West Georgia and Georgia State University. He has taught classes in Introduction to American Government, Constitutional Law, Public Budgeting and State and Local Finance. He has presented papers and published in the area of Public Law. While at the University of West Georgia, Mr. Haskin helped create the Murphy Center for Public Service. His roles included Government and External Relations as well as Business Development.    

In addition to his Juris Doctorate degree from Georgia State University College of Law, Mr. Haskin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of West Georgia. Mr. Haskin completed his coursework for his Doctor of Philosopy at Georgia State University.

He is married to Sarah Haskin and they have three children.
