David Douglas Dupee

Mr. Dupee could be the poster boy for late night comedy hours and why not to hire a lawyer. He assured me that he had handled numerous cases similar to mine, that although he was expensive he was experienced and could get it settled quickly holding the cost down. It started like that and I was ver...y pleased. Until he continued to prolong the matter with a series of mistakes including filing poorly written documents, missing filing dates by not following court instructions (he knew better than the judge), accepting incorrect information from opposing attorney, etc. His aggressive personality was an asset until it changed to arrogance. He seemed to have no respect for his coworkers or his colleagues (the mistakes were always their fault), the court or for me, his client. I was charged for work not done and work that had to be redone because of errors and on occasion, double charged for the same work. I discovered that he was withholding information and manipulating facts that would have resolved the issue immediately. It is unfortunate that he chose to prolong the case for his benefit and financial gain rather than fulfill his obligation and assurances to me. I would suggest that anyone looking for an attorney keep looking. Find someone trustworthy!!
