Samantha Lanelle Embry

I hired Samantha Embry back in 2019 and paid her $950 to take my case. She didn't not answer my calls, text messages, nor emails. She told me in May 2022 that my case had been settled for $2000 and I have yet to receive a check as of September 2022. She is a fraud and I want my money back I paid her.... If anyone reading this review know if there are any lawsuits against her, please let me know. It's a shame how she just takes people money and don't do the job she agreed to do. I want to see justice served If I had to rate her, it would be a -000.

BAD Attorney--- Really bad! If you are looking for an attorney who walks in integrity,  communicates well and respects you, then KEEP LOOKING because Samantha Embry is NOT that attorney. Ms. Embry lacks communication skills.  She is hard to get in touch with no matter how many emails, texts or ...voicemails you leave.  On the rare occasion she does respond, she will sometimes even leave off the information you were originally asking about and then charge you for those emails as the process begins again. She is not a woman of her word and lied to us numerous times.   Also, she apparently was unable to handle our case by herself so she enlisted the help of another attorney outside of her practice. (He has his own practice and is located in Augusta.)  Honestly, it was only then that we were able to get answers to our questions in a timely manner because HE became our point of contact. Finally the case was settled, papers signed and we were to receive a settlement check.  But after THREE months of NO MONEY, and NO RESPONSE from Samantha Embry, we contacted the outside attorney from Augusta again and HE assisted us in getting answers from Ms. Embry regarding the whereabouts of our money.   But even after all of that, Ms. Embry said she would mail the money BUT DIDN'T!  This happened more than once and we were only able to get that information because the outside attorney from Augusta would contact her for us. Ms. Embry finally responded to us and mailed the check but only after we informed her that if the settlement money was not in our hands by a certain day that we were filing a complaint with the American Bar Association. Our suggestion to you--FIND ANOTHER LAWYER.  DO NOT USE SAMANTHA EMBRY!

If I could rate no stars, I would. I started working with Samantha Embry on 7/29/2019, the day I regret ever signing an agreement to do business with her. The first thing I noticed immediately was her communication, she had less than a lack of communication skills. I had to reach out to Samantha by p...hone and email to ask for an update on my case, either she didn't respond or she blamed me not getting a court date on the pandemic (yes, of course I get that but just listen to me for a second). Long story short, Samantha advised I'd need to pay the filing fee for my case which I paid on 1/2/2019. On 1/2/2020, Samantha stated that she was filing my case by 1/15/2020. On 1/24/2020, Samantha advised via email that she had filed but hadn't had the company served yet. From 1/24/2020 - 9/3/2021, It was me reaching out to Samantha (because she never would reach out to me) in order to get an update on my case. Samantha went periods without responding and when I finally heard from her I got the same response. She would ensure me that she filed my case, I haven't gotten a court date due to courts holding off due to COVID-19, and there's nothing she can do about it as I'd just have to wait. On 9/3/2021 (keeping in mind statute of limitation), I receive a letter via email from Samantha stating that she will no longer be representing me as it is a financial burden on her company and we had communication issues. First off, Samantha never ever mentioned a payment other than the filing cost which I paid. Samantha never provided me with an invoice or mention there was something else I was supposed to provide funds for. I emailed to asked her, what the hold up was on my case and she didn't even mention it at that time. Secondly, we did have an issue with communication but it definitely wasn't on my behalf, Samantha never reached out to me and barely responded back to me at all. At that point, I asked Samantha to provide me with documentation that shows what she's done to my case and proof that she filed. When I received the documents I was flabbergasted, the timestamp in Peach Court says that she didn't file my case until that morning of 9/3/2021. Pretty much right before she emailed me stating she was no longer going to work on my case, she had just filed my case (over two years later)! Samantha's response was that she apologizes for mishandling my case(in those words) and states that she will now love the opportunity to finish working my case. I definitely don't trust to ever ever do business with her again as she has shown a pattern of incompetence.
