Eric James Tatum

Eric and his team were well prepared for my case. They are responsive to questions and concerns. He seemed genuinely concerned about me and my situation and it showed in the effort he brought forward. He was much better prepared than opposing council and was reflected in the results. His paralegal, ...Beth, did a great job helping me gather all the necessary documentation and keeping me in the loop on communication with the other attorney and the court. Eric and Beth are the best duo in the world. During my case they made sure that my daughters interest was upfront and centered. At no point in time was it ever about more money or time. My sister had a case and we were referred to Eric by another defense attorney from Cumming. My mother spoke to Beth the Paralegal about what we would need to do to have Eric review my sisters case. We met all the needs required and waited for the firm to contact us back on whether they would be abl...e to defend my sister or not. Once we got the word from Beth and Eric that the firm would definitely take on the case we were somewhat at calm for what our outcome would be. Having heard about Eric's work and knowing Eric personally go hand in hand. Personally, I know Eric and his family and as well as Beth and her family, and it goes without saying that the two families are absolutely superb human beings in and out of the work place. I didn't want to associate myself with this case because of knowing them and I was embarrassed of the happenings from my sister. This is the point that I knew that professionalism is #1 for Eric and his team. Not once during the time of being around these fabulous people or any of our friends did this ever come up about my sister and her case. You know sometimes when you all gather and just checking on someone to make sure they are okay, this happens in day to day times, but not with Eric, his wife Lauren (who is the manager) or Beth. Yes, it's supposed to be confidential anyway, but I am my sisters Power of Attorney at this moment and still while at times where some of us might have been together, it never came up. I appreciate that because like I said I was embarrassed and ashamed. They never judged me or belittled me for the actions of my sister (whom is doing wonderful now). They never brought it up and that goes a long way in any situation. During the course of working with the court system and working on a "deal" per say, there was a phone call made to my sister that will never leave my mind. She called me right after in tears and just said "Pam, you know Eric is the best, he really cares for the people in his cases". She knew her wrong doings but during a conversation Eric calmed her and basically said everything was going to be alright. We don't know what a judge is going to say, but at that moment, I knew that things would work out just because I felt it. That feeling you get when peace has arrived finally started working its way back into our family. We haven't had that with any other lawyer, but Eric and his team went over and beyond their call of duty to give us assurance that all things will work out. My sisters case was reviewed by the courts and Eric was able to successfully get everything in action so that she can continue on with her recovery and rehabilitation without any more "foot on the neck" ordeals. I honestly thought that we would have to visit my sister in jail/prison at one point in this past year and because of Eric and his team working hard and being able to defend, but make my sister accountable, she is able to continue her recovery and rehabilitation where she has been for almost a year. This makes my sister and all of our family forever grateful to Eric Tatum, his firm, his team and to the justice system. There are no words that can by typed or said that show the emotion of thankfulness to Eric and the team for what they did for my sister. We will forever be indebted to Eric and his team for their professionalism but kind hearts for how they actually do care for their case holders. God Bless you ALL!!!

I hired Eric because he was indirectly referred to me as a very capable divorce attorney. My husband and I had been legally separated for several years and my husband decided it was time for a divorce. And even though Eric hadn't met me personally he accepted my case, treated me with respect and communicated well. Most communication was done via email, as I live out of state. The responses to my questions or emails was always prompt. Beth answered many of my questions, keeping my costs down. At times when I felt bogged down in finances Eric was always able to help me see the large picture. He stayed focused on my needs and explored all the possibilities of how to reach our goals. He negotiated some tricky terms, as the terms of the Separation Agreement came into play in working out a mutual agreement. I'm so pleased with the divorce decree Eric negotiated for me. It covered the important and essential aspects of my needs, and it's final! When compromise is needed Eric is an excellent negotiator, and kept my needs in mind at all times.
