Does not try to fix her mistakes.

This is the prosecutor for Dekalb county. My ex-husband had smashed in my child's window in the middle of the night. The victim advocate kept telling me the prosecutor was going to call me to answer a few questions. She didn't end up contacting me until after she got her recommendation approved in... court, which was to dismiss my charge in favor of him getting an assault charge from when he had assaulted someone else. He had a very good criminal lawyer. The prosecutor had not contacted me one time before she dismissed my charge. I was very blindsided. She then apologized after the fact which did not help me very much. Another lawyer told me she was violating a statute by not contacting me before dismissing the charge. I tried to hire a lawyer for a few hours afterward but they were not able to fix anything. Now I have learned that victims in Dekalb County need to hire a lawyer to be able to talk to the prosecutor before the prosecutor goes to the judge.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
