Denise Dotson is originally from Pikeville, Kentucky. Ms. Dotson graduated from the University of Kentucky, Lexington, Kentucky, in 1991 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. After graduation, Ms. Dotson worked for five years as an accountant at Kentucky Educational Television.
In 1996, Ms. Dotson entered law school at the University of Dayton School of Law, Dayton, Ohio (“UD”). Ms. Dotson graduated from UD in 1999. After graduation, Ms. Dotson relocated to Atlanta, Georgia where she worked as a law clerk to the Honorable Joyce Bihary, Chief Judge, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Georgia (“Bankruptcy Court”). After completing her clerkship, Ms. Dotson worked as an associate at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker and Lamberth, Cifelli, Stokes Ellis & Nason, PC. Most recently, Ms. Dotson was of-counsel with the law firm of Jones & Walden, LLC where she specialized in small business reorganizations and consumer bankruptcy cases. Ms. Dotson is also a Chapter 7 trustee.
