Alice W. Limehouse

Alice W. Limehouse has been practicing Family Law since 2003. She focuses on an active and compassionate private Family Law practice centered upon meeting clients’ needs and goals through pragmatic, case-specific strategy and detail-driven presentation.  She handles all facets of Family Law including pre- and post-nuptial agreements and domestic partner agreements, divorce, same-sex partnership dissolutions, custody, support, legitimation, modification, contempt and adoption. In addition to the adept use of litigation to zealously represent clients’ interests, Alice is trained in Collaborative Law, a non-adversarial process used to resolve Family Law issues. Alice is also certified and practices as a mediator, both privately and through the courts, and is specially certified in Domestic Violence mediation. Representing the best interests of children in contested custody cases as Guardian ad Litem is one of Alice’s passions.

Alice is admitted to the Georgia Bar and is an active member of its Family Law Section. Alice belongs the American Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association and the DeKalb Bar Association and is involved in the Family Sections of each. She serves on the board of the Family Section of the DeKalb Bar Association. She regularly presents on Family Law issues to attorneys and judges and has been on panels and guest lectured at Emory University’s Law School. She was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers Magazine.

Alice received her J.D. from Georgia State University in Atlanta in 2003 and her B.A. in Religious Studies from Agnes Scott College in Decatur, Georgia in 1998. She is a native Atlantan and lives in an intown neighborhood with her family.
