I am extremely dissatisfied with my experience. Based on what I was told, my case had supposedly been filed, I was given what appeared to be documentation, and I was later told there were court dates and even that the case had been won. However, when I followed up independently, there was no case num...ber on record at that time. This situation caused serious confusion, stress, and concern. Clear communication, transparency, and honesty are the bare minimum when handling legal matters, and in my experience, those standards were not met. I cannot recommend this practice. Clients deserve accurate information and proper handling of their cases, and unfortunately, that was not my experience.

I retained Spencer Mathis in July 2024 to handle a modification of a parenting plan in Newton County Superior Court. I paid legal fees and was told that the pleadings had been filed and that the case was progressing. Over the following months, communication became sporadic and deadlines passed wit...hout results. I was told service had been completed and that work was underway, but I could not obtain verifiable confirmation of any court activity. In January 2026, I personally checked with the Newton County Superior Court Clerk’s Office. I was informed that the case number I was provided did not exist and that no filings had been made on my behalf. This raised serious concerns about the accuracy of what I had been told during the representation. As a result, I experienced significant delay and expense and had to pursue the matter through other channels. I would advise anyone considering this attorney to independently confirm all filings and case status with the court. If I could give a negative rating, I would. He should be incarcerated.
