You Can't Go Wrong!

I paid a substantial retainer fee for an attorney when I initially filed for divorce. That retainer fee had quickly dissolved in a matter of a couple of months. Unfortunately, very little had been accomplished, and I felt disconnected with my attorney. That is when I decided a change was needed,... and I hired Ms. LeAnne Cooper. I found Ms. Cooper to be empathetic with my situation. She listened to what I had to say. She understood all of my concerns: child custodial arrangements, property division, retirement, and the biggest of all … the financial windfall that follows divorce. Ms. Cooper was upfront and easy to communicate with regarding all of my concerns. I felt comfortable with her in my corner. When my divorce was settled, I felt that I had truly been represented in a professional and accommodating manner. I would not hesitate to recommend Ms. Cooper to anyone going through a divorce as their legal counsel. Chip (Last name removed)

You have a choice I did not. CHOOSE BETTER

I am so glad I found this site and I wish I had found it before this particular attorney cost me THOUSANDS of dollars. How bad was she? So bad that I refused to use any of the attorney's on this site that she endorsed or who endorsed her. Thats how bad. I would LOVE to use my name but out of fea...r of retribution in small town politics I will not. But I will say this. EVERYTHING you have read is true in EACH OF THE negative reviews you have read. Does she know the law. I think so. Does she come to court unprepared. YES. Can she cross examine. SHE IS THE WORSE. (I was thinking of questions and passing them to her and she used my questions) Does she lose documents. YES YES YES. Does she call you in before as another post said, the day before to meet 60 mins in a case that can change your life? THAT WAS MY STORY. Mrs. Cooper is nice but her office runs very inefficently. Yes there is family working there. Yes she is ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE to get on the phone even for a quick question. NO she rarely if ever returns e mail. I even had a assistants giving me legal advise with regards to the case. Documents were not sent to opposing counsel quick enough and when I went into court the delays were affixed to me. In closing she was unprepared and it cost me THOUSANDS of dollars I did not have. You have a choice. Chose better than I did.

Relationship: Worked for lawyer

"LeAnne, along with another lawyer, provided me with my first opportunity as a lawyer out of law school. I learned, in a short time, everything there is to know about a domestic law practice. She is a kind and caring person when dealing with clients and absolutely resolute advocate in the courtroom. She has high expectations of herself and her staff and I would recommend her for any possible domestic issue that you might face."

Relationship: Opposing Counsel on matter

"I have handled numerous cases during the past 15 years with LeAnne as opposing counsel, and she has also worked with me as co-counsel on at least one matter. LeAnne always represented her clients zealously. She takes the time to develop a thorough understanding of the issues and facts related to her clients' cases. This might seem to be a "given" when you hire any attorney, but I can assure you that it is not. I must say that what most impresses me about LeAnne is her confidence in the courtroom and her thorough knowledge of the law. I endorse LeAnne for any family law matter."
