About Linda
Biography
Linda Farron grew up in the Finger Lakes area of the rolling hills of New York State. She graduated as a Regents Scholar. She is married to Dennis C. Knapp, an engineer at SRS and a former US Navy submariner. They moved 22 times before settling in the Thoroughbred Country of South Carolina. Linda was the first USC Law School intern with the SC Supreme Court. She clerked for Chief Justice Jean Hoefer Toal. She was on the Dean's Honor Roll. She graduated and was admitted to the SC Bar in 1991. She was an associate attorney with a general practice firm for 9 years, before moving to SC Legal Services, and then opened her own firm in 2003. She now focuses on estate planning, elder law, and probate.

Experiences With Attorney KnappK3
Ms. Knapp is very professional and thorough. I needed to be a little more informed on matters as they evolved. But obviously, I trusted and place all our elder affairs matters in her hands.

Know what you are getting.
I was quoted a price for several services. I was not notified of the cost before the services were provided -my fault. There was an estimated 100 percent increase in cost.

Replied last May 29, 2025Client's quote from six months ago for slightly different services was honored in full. There was never a 100% increase, she failed to consider the large discount offered her as a prior client before small filing and mailing increases went into effect in January 2025. She did not proffer the prior quote at the time services were rendered and even sent an "all okay with price charged" email to the attorney. As a curtesy to the client, all services were performed on her arrival so no written fee agreement was available in advance until we knew exactly what she wanted done. Client waited until nighttime after the office was closed for a holiday weekend to raise any concerns, thus preventing any reasonable time for the attorney to investigate and fully resolve her issues.
