Unprofessional

The first court date Mr. Pruette showed up late to the hearing. He was very disorganized and had no strategy prepared. He was more willing to cooperate with the opposing party more than his clients who paid him. I was hesitant to go with Mr. Pruette at first even though my case became last minute in... which he did take my case, However at first he was persistent about taking on our case, then once he did he started to become passive aggressive, negligent and hard to contact. This matter was frustrating because I needed to get in contact with him urgently. I constantly had to email and call, even take a couple trips to Anderson with late scheduling. The reason for me going to court was because my child's father wanted to originally receive full custody of my daughter, in the state of South Carolina the mother is automatically awarded custodial guardianship; Mr. Pruette got it to where my child's father received basic visitation and a continuous child support payment. That was fine with me, but tensions start to rise again with my child's father. I contacted Mr.Pruette about my daughter's father keeping her out of school for two weeks, which fell on my shoulder for penalization. I contacted him again promptly and it took a couple of days for him to respond to me. He told me to go to Columbia and get my child in which I did and on top of that my child's father was not paying the court order child support payment either. I did everything the lawyer told me too and he still acted passive aggressive towards me like he did not want to deal with me. When the court date came up, I asked him could I get a no contact order and that was not brought up in court. My child's father was working around the court order and I had to abide by mine still, since Mr. Pruette recommended this as the best method just for me to get the same result in the court post a rule to show cause order. I am frustrated because I am doing my part and still getting the short end of the stick. I cannot even get in contact with him via any method of contact. He has put me off going on 2 months. He does not let me know anything and I am a client of his that deserves to know something back.

Best Lawyer on this Planet

Todd Pruette was a blessing for me during the hardest time in my life. I was going through a domestic violence situation and adultery and I felt like I was in danger. He provided me the best legal advice and supported me. He guided me, gave me courage, and motivation to stay strong during my divorce ...because I was dealing with depression, anxiety, and much more. Not only was he able to represent me in a professional and competent way, but his calm and empathetic demeanor offered emotional support to myself. He makes you feel safe and not alone. He makes smart decisions and finds the most effective ways to help you. I'm eternally grateful for his services and I hereby recommend Mr. Pruette without reservations.

Compassionate

Mr. Pruette provided excellent representation for me during a recent separation and divorce. Being married for over 30 years, I had no idea what to expect and how to go about the legal matters that ensued. He was excellent at calming my fears, knowing what issues were urgent, and what could wait. I... would definitely recommend him.
