J. David Standeffer

     I am one of the elite 21 lawyers in all of South Carolina who are Board Certified in Civil Trial Advocacy (National Board of Trial Advocacy and SC Supreme Court from 1996) in South Carolina, and I am only 1 of only 21 lawyers in South Carolina who are Board Certified in Civil Pretrial Practice Law (National Board of Trial Advocacy and SC Supreme Court, from 2012).  I have qualified for recertification every year. I have Million and Multi-Million Dollar results in both State and Federal Courts. Among my Million Dollar ($20 million highest) results are cases in Wreck, Product Liability, Burn, Inadequate Security, Nursing Neglect and Defective Industrial Machinery cases. Other cases include Amputation, Criminal Defense (Fed/State), Defective Construction, Dog Bite, Fire Loss, Insurance Claims, Motorcycle, Police Abuse, Premises (Inadequate Security, slip/trip fall), Unpaid Wages, Wrongful Death.

     I earned The Meritorious Service Medal after 3 years duty in The Judge Advocate General's Corps in Germany. I was Officer-in-Charge of one of the busiest law offices in all the Armed Forces.

     With over 500 jury verdicts, I have continuously been rated, by judges and other lawyers in confidential surveys, with the highest possible ratings for legal ability and ethics by the most respected national rating publication, MartindaleHubbell ("AV" rating). I have repeatedly been selected as TOP 100 Attorney by The National Trial Lawyers Association. All are the highest possible rating, based upon confidential Peer Review. I am a member of the Multi-million Dollar Advocates Forum.
