Smooth Adoption Process

My husband and I were exceedingly pleased with our experience with Ray Godwin and his team, and I whole heartedly support working with them. Aside from showing tremendous patience and compassion, I was grateful for how they prepared us for every part of the adoption process starting with creating... our family profile book and ending with applying for our daughter’s social security number. The team cleared the path so that everything went smooth and so that we felt prepared and supported. From my perspective, there’s no way it could have been any better. I always felt they were working WITH us. I cannot speak highly enough of this team; no words would be sufficient, and no amount of praise would be enough. What I can say is that I will forever be thankful for Ray and his team for accompanying us through this life changing event. Our 11-month-old daughter is a ray of sunshine, and we feel so grateful.

Great Experience!

Our adoption was a very fast one.. from finding out there was a baby to adopt and starting the whole adoption process, we had 40 hours to get ready! Mr. Godwin and his staff worked around the clock for us, and always answered our texts, emails, and calls very fast. I knew I’d always have answer, even... if it was later in the evening. They were all very personable and asked how we were with everything. We were always in the know of what was going on with our adoption. I never worried about the process because I knew they were right on track with everything and if they needed something from us they let us know. Thank you so much for helping us bring our son home!

Easy and Stress-free Experience

Ray Godwin and his team made the adoption of our baby girl so easy. Any bumps in the road were taken care of by the team. I really only needed to get them all the paperwork required and get the home study done. They made the process smooth going. When we go to adopt in the future, we are going back t...o Godwin. He has people dedicated to different areas of the adoption process. They are all pros in their area. If someone was not available, they would get back to me the next day at the latest! Everyone is so kind and professional. We got an adoption call a couple days after we started our journey about a potential adoption. We decided to not go with that BM. Our next call was less than 3 months after starting the process. Baby girl was born just 8 days after that call. Thank you so so much Ray and team. My husband and I could not imagine our life without our daughter, and you helped us find her.

Mr. Godwin was a fantastic help and resource as we navigated the adoption of our 3 sweet boys. He was always easy to reach if questions arose and was very patient and detailed when explaining things to us. We are so grateful for all of his help throughout our 2 year journey!

Great Experience - Our Family is now Complete

We had a great experience working with Ray Godwin and his staff. We were introduced to Ray's assistant, Marion Spence, through our social worker and submitted for an adoption situation we didn't get selected for. However, we had such an amazing experience working with Marion we decided to schedule a ...consultation with Ray. After meeting with Mr. Godwin, we decided to retain his services and approximately a month later we were matched with our son's birth mother. We liked that we were presented with our birth mother's profile and given an in depth description of the situation by Marion and that ours was the only profile book presented to our birth mother - so we weren't competing against half a dozen other hopeful parents. We liked our birth mom and she liked us, and a match was made. Working with Marion, Dee and Ray during the adoption process was very smooth, from the time we were matched up until the birth and bringing our son home, all the way up until finalization in the courtroom. Whenever we had questions or concerns, they were available for consultation. Ray Godwin and his team are amazing and I highly recommend them to any South Carolina family who wants to adopt. We have a beautiful son who we are madly in love with - who has shown us why we had to wait so long to start our family, because we were waiting for him all along - and we owe a huge debt of gratitude to Ray, Marion, and their team. IF we ever decide to adopt again, we know who our first call will be to!
