Sarah Sloan Batson

Sarah litigates a wide variety of employment and complex commercial disputes, in the court room and in arbitration.  She  brings keen intellect, creativity, and rigorous discipline to each matter she handles. Her practice encompasses several key areas, including complex commercial litigation and employment litigation and consulting.  As a member of the firm's employment team, Sarah handles discrimination, FLSA wage-and-hour, class action, and FMLA claims and provides employment advice and training to clients.  She sets out to understands her client’s organization and culture, and she enjoys counseling clients as employment-related questions arise to protect their workforce.  Sarah has also handled a range of complex commercial disputes beyond the employment context, including trade secret litigation, contract disputes, minority shareholder litigation, and franchise litigation.  Finally, Sarah enjoys advising and training schools, colleges and universities on compliance and best practices regarding Title IX, FERPA, and many other laws and regulations, as well as advocating for these institutions facing legal disputes.
