Best Family Lawyer in Upstate SC
I hired Christine Howard for an uncontested divorce. She made the process smooth and took care of things in a timely manner. At the hearing the Judge even complimented her work, how she always has everything prepared and completed to perfection, and how it is a true pleasure to see her in court. I co...

Authentic Trustworthy Expertise with Heart
Of all the lawyers I have hired, fired, sued, litigated against, and observed in court, Christine Howard stands out as one of the most uncompromising (of her own ethics and integrity), authentic, trustworthy legal professionals, I have ever observed. Her responsiveness to my inquiries, feedback is ou...

Not Trustworthy
I retained this lawyer for a divorce last January 2018. I was very impressed with the favorable reviews she has on the web. Her secretary, Lisa, is precious and very easy to talk to. Prior to getting a Separation Agreement, on August 30, 2018, she gave me 10 days notice she was closing her office ...
In response to this review I would like to make the following observations. Unfortunately in life there are some people whom you cannot please. In this particular case, I understand that some clients do not understand the divorce procedure having never gone through it before. This often creates confusion and misunderstandings. I can say with my whole heart that this client was not lied to. Her review is filled with misunderstandings and mistruths. She would ask me to send letters to the attorney requesting that I impart information verbatim but is now complaining that I did exactly as she asked and used her words. There is a deadline to every famiy court case. It is 365 days from the date of filing. I do not have a new website. I am not closing my office. I am transitioning to uncontested cases at this time and she was under no deadline to transition. I have transitioned a number of clients with success. If given the chance, I would have been able to transition this client also. She would not allow us the chance to help her. We worked very hard on settling her case. We developed many drafts of a settlement agreement that we sent to her attorney. The client however changed her position several times making her case difficult to settle. She was very happy with our services but became frustrated with her spouse which is understandable. These are difficult times for anyone and we are very sympathetic to our client's needs. This client also did not want to spend any money on her litigation but demanded a lot from us in trying to settle her case. I am very aware of the high costs of litigation and do my best to use my client's money wisely. I even did work for this client and did not charge her. I am sorry this client feels the way she does but I was responsive to all her requests and did the work she asked me to perform at a reasonable rate. I hope that her case settles quickly and that she is happy with her results. I would ask that you read the other reviews and keep in mind the majority opinion. Thank you.
