Personal service is a cornerstone of the Lam Law Firm, Huong Lam’s practice, which she just opened in early April.  Lam, an immigrant from Saigon, Vietnam was raised in Myrtle Beach since the age of 7, and has been practicing law in the Myrtle Beach area since 2007.

She prides herself on customer service and thinks it is important for people know they are supported and listened to whether they have suffered an injury, disability, or filing for bankruptcy.

“These are tough times and tough situations for people to go through,” Lam said. “I help my clients through these times by providing step by step legal representation that they can understand and get results.”

The Lam Law Firm practices in Bankruptcy, Personal Injury, Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability Law. In those areas, accessibility and sensitivity are particularly important to her clients, Lam said.

“We are very compassionate,” she said. “We understand what people are going through and are willing to do what it takes to help them.”

In bankruptcy cases, for example, the Lam Law Firm helped hundreds of clients get relief from financial strain. Handling Social Security Disability cases is also highly rewarding, she said.

“When we win the case for the claimant, we have ensured that they receive medical treatment for the rest of their lives without worrying about how to pay for it,” Lam said. “And with the way the economy is going, helping people save their homes and giving them a fresh financial start is very rewarding.”

Lam and her husband Craig currently reside in the Carolina Forest / Myrtle Beach area with their son Liam, their daughter Indiana and two Labradors Bentley and Maszi.  They began dating while attending Myrtle Beach High School together.  After 10 years of dating, they got married in 2007 in Charleston, SC.  Craig is a dentist serving the local community at Ocean Drive Dentistry and Aynor Dental Associates.  When not working they enjoy spending time with baby Liam and helping  him discover the world around him.
