Tiana Hinnant

I grew up on a tobacco farm in Eastern North Carolina, an only child of two wonderful and hard working parents, who made sure that I worked on the farm, cropping tobacco every summer. I was the first in my family to graduate from college.  I believe my years on the farm tought me to appreciate hard work and those who have done it. I believe it has also helped me to relate to my clients in meaningful ways.    

I have been practicing law for 24 years, but have chosen to limit my practice to Social Security Disability for the last 7 years.  During that time I have probably represented over a thousand claimants in Social Security hearings all across North and South Carolina. I am PASSIONATE about Social Security and believe that people who work hard for years and pay into the Social Security system deserve access toTHEIR benfits when they become too sick to work.  It is important to me that my clients be treated with dignity and respect and that they receive the benifts they paid for during the years that they worked.  

Over the years I have represented clients in personal injury, wrongful death, prodcuts liabiltiy, medical malpractice, as well as adoption law and termination of parental rights.  ALl of the work I have done through the years has led me to the Social Securty practice. While all the work I have done has been rewarding, I beleive that Social Security representation is my calling. It is both and honor and a privilege to represent sick and disabled claimants and I feel very blessed to be at this stage of my practice and to be  making a  difference in the world, one case at a time.
