Originally from the New York City area, Lawrence "Larry" Filiberto made his living in the investment banking industry early in his career. Later, he went on to hold a number of executive management positions with financial service organizations where he also served as a member of the board of directors.
It was shortly after the tragic events of 9/11 when Mr. Filiberto determined he would pursue a legal education, an early but unfulfilled educational goal. After making that decision, he relocated to Michigan where he attended law school, obtaining his Juris Doctorate degree with honors. Sometime later he later found his way to South Carolina and settled in Horry County. He is presently admitted to practice law in both South Carolina and Michigan.
Prior to entering private practice Mr. Filiberto served approximately 5 years as an Assistant Solicitor (Prosecuting Attorney) for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. During that tenure he obtained a substantial amount of trial experience. His duties included prosecuting serious felony criminal cases including (but not limited to) Felony DUI, Drug cases, Armed Robbery, and Murder. His experiences in Michigan primarily involved elder law, probate, family court and civil litigation matters.

If you are assigned this public defender and you are a POC run. Not only was he flippant about my trail. He wanted me to take a plea when there was no evidence. SMFH. He tried skirting around my questions and labeled me a criminal before meeting with me. STAY AWAY!

Mr. Filiberto is a awesome attorney to have. He is professional and did everything plus some for my troubles. He went above and beyond for me and I would recommend him to anyone in the area needing a attorney.
"I know Mr. Filiberto in dual capacities, as a former co-worker at the Fifteenth Circuit Solicitor's Office and as a fellow lawyer in private practice in the Conway community. I know Mr. Filiberto to be an excellent attorney and endorse him highly to any potential clients looking for a competent and diligent attorney. He is knowledgeable, honest and hardworking and is fully capable of rendering great legal services."
"Mr. Filiberto is a well respected attorney throughout the Pee Dee Region. Larry has tried and won numerous cases as not only a Solicitor but in his current practice as a criminal defense lawyer. If you need a lawyer who will be honest and straight forward with you and who knows how to litigate a case then I would highly recommend Mr. Filiberto."
"I endorse this lawyer. Larry is the strongest of advocates for his clients and always well-prepared."
