Ryan C. Andrews

Ryan Andrews is a proud South Carolina native, born and raised in Florence. After earning his International Baccalaureate Diploma in high school, he moved to Columbia to attend the University of South Carolina, graduating in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. From there, he headed to Charleston to pursue his legal education at the Charleston School of Law.

During law school, Ryan immersed himself in numerous organizations and leadership roles. He served as Research Editor for the Charleston Law Review, President of the Phi Delta Phi Legal Honors Fraternity, and Vice-President of the Student Bar Association. His dedication earned him CALI Awards for Excellence in Contracts, Civil Procedure, First Amendment (Free Speech), Sports Law, and Advanced Civil Procedure. In his final year, Ryan was honored with the Michelle Robbins Award for academic excellence and public service, graduating Cum Laude in 2013.

After law school, Ryan honed his skills at a large injury firm, where he gained invaluable experience in litigation and tried cases to verdict. He later joined a medium-sized firm with diverse practice areas, becoming a partner and leading the Personal Injury and Criminal Defense Department. In addition to his private practice, Ryan served as Public Defender for the Town of Mt. Pleasant, City of Goose Creek, and Town of Moncks Corner, representing clients in a wide range of criminal matters.

Ryan also contributed to the legal community as an Adjunct Professor at the Charleston School of Law for several years. His professional achievements have been recognized with honors such as being named a Super Lawyers Rising Star since 2022 and inclusion in Charleston Legal Elite for 2024.

When he’s not advocating for his clients, Ryan enjoys spending time with his wife, Lee, their daughter, Amelia, and their lively dogs, Rudy and Roxie. He’s an avid sports fan and, despite the ups and downs, remains a loyal South Carolina Gamecock supporter.
