My attorney saved my sanity

Ms DeTreville represented me in 2 divorces. In one of these it also involved a custody dispute. I was constantly in touch and always treated politely and courteously and kept in the loop. My concerns and my priorities always came first

Legal excellence

I have been a court reporter for the past 18 years. I have worked with thousands of attorneys. When it came time to retain an attorney, I went directly to Ms. DeTreville (who came highly recommended by another attorney) Ms. DeTreville handled my case with compassion, kindness and patience combine t...hose characteristics with 28 years of legal experience and you have a winning combination. Ms. DeTreville took the time to explain everything and often calmed me down during what was an emotionally upsetting time. Ms. DeTreville provides personal attention to each and every case, which is not the norm today. I cannot say enough that if you need an honest, caring legal expert to represent you call Ms. DeTreville.

Relationship: Fellow lawyer in community

"Patty is a well respected and experienced lawyer in my area. She is a strong advocate for her clients, but very reasonable to work against as well. I look forward to my first opportunity using her as a mediator."

Relationship: Worked for lawyer

"I have been blessed not only to work with this attorney, but also to have been able to learn from her. I learned a lot in law school, but my legal education didn't truly start until I graduated and went to work for her. I learned more in a month from her than I did in three years of law school. I endorse to the greatest degree possible (and not just because she also happens to be my mother)."

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
