David Osborne is a Charleston native who has spent his entire career in the criminal justice system. He began as a police officer in New Orleans, then joined the Charleston Police Department in 2002, rising to detective sergeant of the Violent Crimes Unit. He earned his law degree from the Charleston School of Law in 2013 while working full time. He went on to serve seven years as an assistant solicitor in the Ninth Circuit and became Senior Litigation Counsel in the First Circuit Solicitor's Office in 2021, trying more than twenty murder cases to verdict. That experience covers every stage of a case, from the first investigation to the closing argument. Today David defends clients across the Lowcountry against charges ranging from DUI and drug offenses to serious felonies, and represents people injured by someone else's negligence. He handles every case personally and prepares each one as if it is going to trial.
