Steven W. Sizemore

I graduated from Western Carolina University and Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law, Campbell University and was admitted to the North Carolina Bar in 1991. I practiced from 1991 – 2001 with a larger Asheville firm. I re-joined two of his former partners, Ike Northup and Beth McConnell, in 2001.  Our attorneys represent clients in matters including: workers’ compensation defense, medical malpractice defense, construction matter, employment matters, patent litigation, intellectual property litigation, education matters and general insurance defense. 

I am a NC Bar Certified Workers’ Compensation Specialist and a Certified Mediator.  I have an AV Preeminent Rating with Martindale-Hubbell.  I am a member of the North Carolina State Bar, 28th Judicial District Bar, North Carolina Bar Association Mediation Section, and North Carolina Bar Association Workers’ Compensation Section.  I am licensed to practice in North Carolina and the U.S. District Court.

Community involvement is very important as a member of the legal profession and within Asheville.  I served as the Chairman of the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Asheville, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Buncombe County Board of Education, Chairman of the Soqua District of the Daniel Boone Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and on the Asheville Buncombe Youth Soccer Association Board of Directors.  I currently serve on the Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College Foundation Board, the Buncombe County Schools Foundation Board and is a member of the Harry C. Martin American Inn of Court.
