Katherine Fisher is a 2003 graduate of the University of North Carolina School of Law at Chapel Hill. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill, which she received in 1992.
Prior to her acceptance at UNC School of Law in 2000, Katie spent almost 10 years working with the blind and multi-sensory impaired individuals providing vocational training and education. After working in Texas and Mexico for nearly a decade, she returned to Asheville and applied to law school.
Building on her professional history of service to the physically challenged, Katie began her family law practice at Western North Carolina’s highly regarded private legal aid firm, Pisgah Legal Services. There, Katie dedicated her practice to representing low income victims of domestic violence. Building upon that experience, in private practice Katie has focused her attention on family law, divorce and the trial of matters pertaining to matrimonial issues.
