Public Servant

Represented me under a fraudulent Medicaid case. Buncombe County department of health and human services as Tina Locklear Ball. She withheld important information that ultimately destroyed my chances of ever getting disability.

OUTSTANDING SERVICE! EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Holly Fairbairn is an attorney that is HONEST! She possess an impeccable character and a rare degree of PERSONAL INTEGRITY that is second to none! She delivers OUTSTANDING SERVICE as evidenced by my own personal experience with her when I became disabled. Being diagnosed with bi-lateral flat feet, ...a significant structural leg length inequality and scoliosis while serving in the United States Air Force in my twenties, I still enjoyed the privilege of maintaining my ability to engage in work until my mid-thirties. After that, my body began to slow way down and so did my ability to function as my bones, joints and vertebrae began to break off into pieces due to the fact that my skeletal structure could not articulate properly with movement. I managed to function with torn menisci constantly, as well as cysts that would rupture and osteophytes as large as 12mm floating in the synovial fluid of the knee on the long side of my body as it tried to compensate for the short side. As soon as the doctor in the Air Force sent me for custom orthotics and gave me heel lifts to try to correct the structural imbalance, the injuries to my knee began while in service and have continued as a result of normal movement. I slowly and painfully went from work that I enjoyed full time to barely being able to work part-time. All my resources went to therapies to try to maintain some quality of life. At the age of 45, I was rushed via ambulance to the emergency room after traumatic and convulsive tremors that ensued from simply trying to get out of bed. It was like being plugged into an electric socket and left for dead. At the hospital, I was told that I had endured a large collision of my vertebrae that had affected my spinal cord. It was called a disc extrusion and it affected all of my discs from lumbar all the way down. I was told that surgery had to be immediate in order to avoid permanent nerve damage. I had drop foot on one side and paralysis on the other as well as trouble with some organ function where the spinal nerves intersect. The surgeon had his staff file disability paperwork for me while I was in the hospital and he told me that I would never be able to walk uphill or hike again and that I would need help for the rest of my life. They suggested that I could hire an attorney because life was truly never going to be the same. That is an understatement. However, their suggestion led me to Holly Fairbairn. She helped me get SSI initially while I was waiting to move into my handicapped apartment and going through therapy and the now life long process of appointments. Finally, after a 2 1/2 year period, I inquired about my SSDI on my own and won my case. The SSA had her name on file as my attorney and sent her a significant part of my disability earnings. I called and spoke with one of her exceedingly professional and personable assistants, Melissa. She relayed the message and Holly Fairbairn herself returned my call quickly and stated that she would indeed return the money to me since there was no need to go to court to win my case. She had her other excellent and courteous assistant, Kirsten, call me to confirm my address and mail me the check. Holly did not have to call me back, return my money or make it that simple. BUT, SHE DID! She chose to step up and do the right thing just by my asking her to consider what had occurred. Everyone knows that is virtually unheard of in these situations! I am very appreciative of having had the privilege of being her former client! She is selective in who she chooses to work with, so, consider yourself blessed if she takes on your case. You will know that you have an attorney that you can trust! I highly recommend Holly Fairbairn because she goes above and beyond even when no one is looking and that personal integrity IS WORTH RAVING ABOUT!!! Thank you for the OUTSTANDING SERVICE AND THE OUTRAGEOUS HONESTY!!! You set the "Bar" at a whole new level that is TRULY INSPIRING!!!
