Exceptional Family Attorney Who Solved a Complex Interstate Case

After six years of complicated interstate custody litigation between North Carolina and Iowa, I had consulted with eight attorneys in Hendersonville and still had no clear path forward—until I met Mr. Ryan Bradley. Mr. Bradley was one of three attorneys recommended to me by a former CPS director. ...I had also worked with an attorney in Iowa for nearly ten years who later became a partner in her firm and had an excellent reputation. Despite all of that experience, none of the attorneys I spoke with could identify a solution to the complex interstate jurisdiction issues involving my children’s father living in Iowa while my daughters and I have been living in North Carolina. If you are looking for a family law attorney in Hendersonville, North Carolina who understands complex interstate custody and jurisdiction issues, Mr. Bradley is exceptional. By the time I met him, the situation had become urgent. Child Protective Services had documented serious concerns, but because of the interstate jurisdiction issues between Iowa and North Carolina they explained they did not have the authority to intervene. As a result, there was effectively no protection in place for my daughters despite the documented concerns. During the five years we had been living in Hendersonville, I had consulted with eight different local attorneys and repeatedly contacted CPS trying to find a way forward. No one seemed to know how to untangle the jurisdictional issues. Within about fifteen minutes of meeting Mr. Bradley, he identified a legal path forward that no one else had been able to see. He understood how to navigate the interstate jurisdiction issues, bring the CPS findings and medical concerns before the court, and prioritize the immediate safety of my daughters while the legal process moved forward. From that first consultation, everything changed. Mr. Bradley was able to get the concerns properly before the court and secure legal protection so that my daughters did not have to return to an unsafe situation while the case was being reviewed. Choosing an attorney often feels like a trust fall—you don’t truly know if you’ve chosen the right one until you are standing in court and the moment arrives for them to speak on your behalf. Seeing Mr. Bradley in the courtroom showed me what truly exceptional legal advocacy looks like. In the single hour he was given for cross-examination, he methodically dismantled the opposing arguments, exposed inconsistencies, and presented the truth of the situation clearly to the court. When I walked out of the courtroom that day, something had finally changed. After nearly ten years of fear, litigation, and uncertainty, the truth had finally been heard—and for the first time in a decade, I was no longer afraid. I cannot recommend Mr. Bradley highly enough.

Custody

My son wanted full custody of his daughter because his exwife was on drugs and the environment when she was with her mother wasn't safe. It took some time but Mr Bradley did exactly what we wanted him to do. My son has full custody and his exwife was denied visitation as well as no contact. He did wh...at was best for my granddaughter and to me that means everything!

Child Custody

Ryan was brilliant in his excecution of our case. It was tough at times and there were bumps in the road(as all custody cases do), but when he had an opportunity to strike, he did. I won full custody of my beautiful little girl and I have him to thank for that! Great guy, even better lawyer!
