Mr. Maddox is a native of East Tennessee where he was born and raised. He graduated from Carson-Newman University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Philosophy, and Political Science. Upon graduating, Mr. Maddox spent two years in the United States Peace Corps. He spent his service, from 2006 to 2008, living and working in the small village of Sevia, located in Togo, West Africa. Mr. Maddox’s principal service was as a Natural Resource Management volunteer, but he also assisted his community with HIV/AIDS education, climate and agricultural improvement actions, women’s empowerment support, and working with families and community leaders to make farming within the area more sustainable and productive. Following his Peace Corps volunteer work, Mr. Maddox taught English in Ambert, France with the Centre International d’études Pédagogiques (CIEP) through the French government’s Ministry of Education from 2008 to 2009. While in Ambert, he primarily taught middle and high school students. Upon returning to America, Mr. Maddox began his legal studies at the Duncan School of Law in Knoxville, Tennessee, but subsequently transferred to Appalachian School of Law located in Grundy, Virginia where he graduated in 2014 cum laude. After graduating Mr. Maddox moved to New Orleans, Louisiana and was admitted to the Louisiana Bar in May of 2015. Mr. Maddox’s practice in New Orleans and the surrounding Southeastern, Louisiana was wide ranging, focusing on such matters as criminal defense, estates, personal injury, family law, worker’s compensation, and contractual disputes. In August of 2019, Mr. Maddox moved to beautiful Hendersonville, North Carolina to marry the love of his life, Laura Griffin Maddox, and to raise their two amazing children, Eli and Cecilia. Mr. Maddox successfully passed the July 2020 North Carolina Bar Exam and was admitted to practice law in North Carolina. He subsequently joined Dalton Law Office, PLLC in March of 2021. Mr. Maddox focuses on criminal defense, family and juvenile law, contractual disputes, personal injury, governmental administrative matters, and estates. Mr. Maddox is committed and determined to serving his clients with the highest quality and respect. Attorney Maddox was lazy, did not file on time, lied to the court that he had filed something that was not filed. After he was made aware of the lie, Maddox refused his duty of candor to the court to correct his lie. Mr. Maddox does not have the work ethic to be an effective lawyer and the non lawyer...
