Do not hire this attorney!! I made the mistake, and I want to save you from doing the same. 7 months of pure hell. After my accident I needed help with my Workers Compensation claim. Christine Byerley was recommended to me by another great attorney. Things started off okay. Small requests were delay...ed but eventually were completed. The issue came around month 3 when the adjuster wasn’t approving my claims. Mrs. Byerley continued to respond with “thank you for letting us know. We will contact them.” This went on for months. No medical attention to my injuries and excuses after excuses from Mrs. Byerley and her paralegal. My pay stopped and my injuries worsened. After months of no medical attention or income, I begin to ask more questions. It appears that Mrs. Berley sent in forms to the Industrial Commission with the wrong I. C # on it June 2024. (I later found this out) This number is used throughout your file to keep all the documents together. Due to this error, it appeared as if I didn’t have an Attorney on File with the Industrial Commission. A motion sent by Mrs. Byerley and her Paralegal (December 2024) was denied as they didn’t have her as my attorney and there was never a form 18 from her with my correct I.C # on it. Mrs. Byerley then sent in a new form (January 2025) and tried to correct her mistake and never once told me of this error. My entire case was a mess. I hadn’t been paid, and my injuries were worse. Yet, when I questioned her, this is her response.” I cannot represent someone who just isn’t listening to me, whether intentionally or not. “She created a mess then resigned. (January 2025) this review is to simply let everyone know that it’s not okay to be treated like this. It is not okay to be disrespected by your attorney. To this day she has yet to admit the error or even apologize for any of this. When i finally received my final file from her it was if they had done nothing the last 7 months. Very little email exchanges. I was so disappointed. I trusted her and she failed me!
