William Wallace Respess Jr.

1.) He never provided me with a written retainer agreement 2.) He demanded cash only or a check to his personal name 3.) He has never once given me his email address after me texting him over a dozen times asking for his email 4.) He will not reply to my messages 5.) He failed to file a continuan...ce after telling me he had a bad car accident last Thursday 6.) My entire case file is nowhere to be found 7.) Inside the courtroom he began staring at Me***** Nort***** (plaintiff) and turned to me and said “look at the body on her!!”…. Absolutely disgusting behavior all the while her husband was witnessing him staring at her in a creepy manner. All of this while the jury was deliberating my case. 8.) I scolded him multiple times because he was playing Solitaire on his phone and the entire courtroom could hear his phone clicking away making the sound of “games”. 9.) I asked him over 10 times to introduce multiple imperative exhibits, affirmative defenses, and he never subpoenaed the 3 police officers that I DEMANDED be at this trial! Those police officers are witnesses to my defenses and I didn’t have the opportunity because Wallace simply ignored me. I even texted him saying “I will send you any amount of money through Zelle or Venmo but WE NEED TO SUBPOENA THOSE OFFICERS”. He ignored me and his own staff told me they have asked him 10 times and he just ignored them also. My entire case file is missing from Wallace’s possession and his performance in my trial was way worse than subpar. I feel that the Judge himself very well may have noticed some of these things. Bailiffs, plantiffs, the judge and staff members all seemed to have been witnesses to his erratic and reckless behavior. 10.) He made a personal phone call right there in front of the judge while jury was deliberating and I could hear the entire conversation. He called a woman and asked her if he can come to her house after court. I heard her loud and clear tell him “I look like a train wreck but you’re welcome to come over my house”. Wallace then told her “I’ve seen you undressed so what’s it matter what you’re wearing.” He then proceeded to ask her what street she lives on and all of this conversation was heard through the speaker of his personal cell phone. He spent countless times showing random people videos of his talking dog which is something he did at previous hearing, handing his phone to judge Eggers and her staff showing the same video over and over. Of his talking dog… His courtroom demeanor is absolutely unacceptable and he is not fit to handle court matters in my opinion. 11.) He disappears from the courtroom to smoke multiple cigarettes at a time with NO REGARD to the deliberation process. My son had to run downstairs and get him because the judge was asking for him. Instead of dropping the cigarette he stayed to finish his cigarette, all the while 2 bailiffs were also trying to find him. I could go on with further concerns but I have filed a major complaint with the NC Bar. Wallace will continue to destroy clients because this is clearly a pattern considering the google reviews prior to mine, and moreover, both his staff members told me “Wallace isn’t well.” I am demanding that the court allow me the opportunity to a NEW fair trial because this trial as absolutely not fair for all of the above circumstances. Wallace did nothing at all to help my case in the appeal and in fact his actions made my case worse. I happened to really like / respect the judge that handled my appeal. A very very professional, personable, understanding and kind man that made it his FULL TIME JOB to appease both the plaintiff, the jury, and the entire courtroom in a whole. This case will now resurface as I have hired a new and very competent attorney whom will be requesting yet another trial all over again. There WILL be a new trial and I WILL fight for my right to a fair trial. Do not EVER EVER fall victim of this diminishing selfish jerk.
