Two years ago I tried to use Christian and Associates to handle a real estate transaction for me in Newton N.C. I am a senior citizen who is partially blind. I made Mr. Christian's staff aware of my disability from the very beginning of the transaction. When I requested closing documents be sent to... me, at my expense, for review and signatures Mr Christian refused. He advised I must sign electronically and read them on a computer screen. His office nearly caused the transaction to fall out of escrow. Mr Christians pomposity and arrogance caused me to start over with another local attorney who readily complied with my simple request, and got the deal done. Christian and associates then showed unbelievable contempt by retaining my $5,000 earnest monies and refused to return funds that he should have held in trust. I was forced to retain a seperate attorney to make a legal demand of Christian and Associates and also file a B.A.R. Complaint with the North Carolina B.A.R. Association. They finally returned the monies 3 days prior to us filing suit against him in the North Carolina Courts. It is clear he intended to abscond with our funds until we took action. In closing, if you are a senior citizen, or are disabled, or both, I strongly recommend you avoid this firm at all cost. Mr Daniel G. Christian will not treat you with professionalism, compassion or kindness and prey upon you.
